Now Hiring: Quality Receiving Inspection GL

Summary:  In search of a Quality Receiving Inspection Group Leader to manage a Quality Inspection group and the processes within Quality Control to achieve shop targets.

 

Duties:

  • Responsible Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and People Development to assure Area’s good performance in a daily basis.
  • Develop Team member’s skills and mindset thru fundamental & specific training.
  • Daily Abnormality handling in order to comply to assure a stable operation.
  • Improve audit processes performance thru Problem solving, PDCA and TPS tools.
  • Lead or support investigation of quality issues.
  • Manage Rules & Regulations related to Quality and assure compliance within mfg, groups Manage Automotive parts receiving inspection in compliance with Toyota std.
  • Manage Daily Operations
    • Day to day follow up on KPI/metrics result for own Shop and Section’s on all FMDS Dimensions (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and People Development)
    • Follow up on Area’s Critical issues (Safety issues, Quality Defects, Breakdowns, etc.) and promote problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful countermeasure
    • Allocate resources in a proper manner to assure a good production performance.
    • Assure STW compliance at all processes.
    • Create plans and follow up on Departments Hoshin Targets.
    • React to part Quality issues by Analyzing, reacting & Containing.
  • People Development
    • Manage team members’ training and certification at the process.
    • Develop and execute versatility plans for his group.
    • Make sure all TM’s attend to Company’s required trainings.
    • Abnormality Management & Follow Up
    • Follow up on daily operation issues setting up containment actions and final countermeasure to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Assure critical problems deep root cause analysis and effective countermeasures with sense of urgency.
    • Follow up on critical issues thru FMDS and avoid reoccurrence
    • Initial deep investigation on issues found CD audit process & follow up through FMDS
  • Processes Changes
    • Confirm process changes on daily basis
    • Coordinate TM training during Model Changes and Takt Time Changes
    • Follow Up change conditions until the confirmation of 4Ms successful results
  • Cost Management
    • Daily tracking and management of Operative Budget
    • Take quick actions when deviating from targets thru Problem Solving (TBP)
    • Propose and implement Cost Reduction ideas.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to develop process that other shops can follow to assure Quality Re-occurrence
  • prevention and Countermeasure follow up 8 sustainability.
  • Statistical data gathering Analysis & interpretation.
  • Automotive part analysis f drawing interpretation 8 capacity to corroborate if within compliance with TS 8, SQAM, creation of work orders to correct part issues for a rework environment.
  • Quick and effective response to shop requirements/issues to avoid productivity and quality impacts  
  • Intershop communication assurance (Keep shops informed in a timely and consistent manner)
  • Work with corporate depts. to coordinate & implement Requirements & Regulations
  • Coordinate will other shops on Quality items follow up

 

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Required:
    • English 70% written and spoken.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Audit Group as Supervisor/GL
    • Must have strong knowledge on next subjects:

      • Quality Audit Process Setup and Process Standardization
      • Experience working in a fast pace environment or automotive industry
      • Excel and Power Point, Visio
  • Preferred:
    • English 90% written and spoken.
    • 4 years’ experience in Quality Audit Group as Supervisor/GL
    • Industry Quality audit & Regulations
    • Part receiving inspection & audit
    • Supplier performance tracking & improvement development
    • Engineering change instruction, coordination & implementation
    • Part Analysis (measurements & functionality)
  • Leadership/Management Experience or Skills
    • Required:
      • Supervisor experience with 10 of more people
      • Leadership and decision-making skills
      • Good Communication skills
      • Proactive and problem solving thinking
      • Self-confident and positive attitude

Other:

  • Overtime: From 0 – 25% depending on business condition
  • Travel: From 0% up to 70% depending on business condition and training phase
  • Required US valid visa
