Now Hiring: General Affairs Manager

Summary: In search of a General Affairs Manager in Apaseo el Grande, Gto., Mexico to provide leadership and oversite of External Affairs, Corporate Security and Team Member Services.

 

Duties:

  • Provide leadership and oversite of External Affairs, Corporate Security and Team Member Services
  • Build strong relationships with elected officials and community leaders
  • Manage Incentive Program
  • Manage donations / sponsorships via Corporate Gifts (review incoming requests, respond based on executive approval, manage budget, provide quarterly reports, etc.)
  • Develop and report External Affairs, Corporate Security and Team Member Services Strategies and activities to Executive Management
  • Develop and strengthen Community Relations and engagement programs
  • Serve as media spokesperson to promote and maintain positive Corporate image
  • Proved open dialogue with local, state and federal government officials to communicate positive economic impact
  • Prepare speeches and talking points for executives for public relations purpose
  • Manage key milestone events to enhance and strengthen community image
  • Coordinating internal / external Communications messages to ensure “one voice” on behalf of organization

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in writing and delivering speeches and presentations to audiences consisting of public officials and executives
  • Security and Crisis communications
  • Project Management
  • Team Member Services, including partnering with Purchasing to procure required services and vendors throughout region
  • Communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas of study:  Public Relations, Communications, Business, or Journalism
  • Automotive industry experience in corporate external affairs (media relations, speech writing, and crisis communications)

 

Other:

  • Willing and able to work up to 15% over time on a continual basis
  • Willing and able to work nights and weekends to support various activities
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% on a continual basis
